The Social Security Number (AMKA) is unique and provides access to health and labor services in Greece.
The Unified Social Security Fund (EFKA) is the competent authority responsible for issuing AMKA numbers. International students must apply directly to the EFKA office corresponding to their area of residence.
International students are entitled to obtain an inactive AMKA.

- Proof of address (e.g., Proof of Submission of Real Estate Lease Information Statement from AADE)
- Certificate of registration for EU students residing in Greece (for EU citizens)
